Pijnlijk: opmars Real Madrid gestuit door staartploeg

Real Madrid ging afgelopen woensdag nog met de volle buit aan de haal in de Champions League in Amsterdam. De 'Koninklijke' was bezig aan een sterke reeks, maar zien die nu beëindigd worden door een laagvlieger.
Real Madrid kwam nochtans op voorsprong tegen Girona via Casimero na 25 minuten. De Madrilenen gingen ook rusten met een 0-1 voorsprong, maar na de rust zag het er opeens benard uit voor Courtois en co.
Ramos maakte een strafschopfout en Stuani faalde niet vanop elfmeter. Courtois behoedde zijn team met enkele knappe reddingen van een achterstand, maar toen het licht uitging bij Marcelo was het uiteindelijk toch 1-2 via Portu. Ramos pakte bovendien nog een rood karton.
De kloof met leider Barcelona bedraagt nu negen punten, bovendien ziet Real Madrid stadsrivaal Atlético over zich springen in de stand.
