Roma knalt voorbij staartploeg én Lazio

In Italië mocht AS Roma tegen staartploeg Benevento de 24ste speeldag afsluiten. Tegen het bijna zeker gedegradeerde Benevento begon het slecht, maar Roma deed toch een goeie zaak.
Guilherme scoorde al in minuut zeven de goal van de hoop, maar nog voor de rust kon Federico Fazio gelijkmaken. Na de koffie kwam de Romeinse machine onder stoom.
Via Dzeko en twee keer Ünder ging het naar 4-1 en was de zege binnen. Benevento kwam wel nog op 4-2, maar verder geraakte de troosteloos laatste in de Serie A niet. Roma maakte zelfs nog een vijfde doelpunt.
Roma zelf springt wel opnieuw over stadsgenoot Lazio, dat opgepeuzeld werd door het Napoli van Dries Mertens. Zo komt het opnieuw op de Champions League-plaatsen te staan.
