Veretout twijfelde niet en zorgde zo voor de nipte thuiszege tegen Atalanta. Castagne werd na 77 minuten naar de kant gehaald. Biraghi scoorde in de slotminuut zelfs nog de 2-0.

Chiesa kreeg uiteraard kritiek voor deze duik.
