Hattrickheld Agüero hijst Man City eigenhandig naar de tweede plaats

Het duurde welgeteld 47 seconden voor de netten trilden. Laporte bediende Agüero en die twijfelde niet: 1-0. Lang konden 'The Citizens' niet van hun voorsprong profiteren. Laurent Koscielny zette de bordjes in evenwicht met een rake kopbal op hoekschop. 

Nog voor de rust sloeg de Argentijnse topspits van City echter opnieuw toe. En een halfuur voor het einde zette hij de kers op de taart: 3-1. Man City nadert door de overwinning tot op twee punten van Liverpool, dat morgenavond nog aan de bak moet tegen West Ham United.
