Europa League: Deugddoende zege voor Cocu met Fenerbahçe is slecht nieuws voor Anderlecht, Boyata en Celtic onderuit in Oostenrijk

Naast Anderlecht kwamen er nog tal van ploegen in actie in de Europa League. We bundelen de matchen van speeldag 2 van 19u voor u in overzichtje.
In groep D, de groep van Anderlecht, stond Fenerbahçe tegen Spartak Trnava op het programma. De Slowaken waren op de vorige speeldag nog de boeman van paars-wit, maar konden niks rapen in Istanbul, het werd 2-0 dankzij een dubbelklapper van Islam Slimani.
Een deugddoende zege voor Philippe Cocu, die onder druk stond de laatste weken door tegenvallende resultaten. Een drama voor Anderlecht dat door de overwinning van de Turken nu hopeloos onderaan bengelt in groep D.
In groep E ging Arsenal met 0-3 winnen op het veld van Qarabag. Een goeie prestatie van 'The Gunners', als je weet dat Atlético Madrid zowel in Azerbeidjan als thuis niet konden winnen vorig seizoen. Arsenal staat in hun poule samen met Sporting Lissabon, dat zelf ging gaan winnen op Vorskla, aan kop met zes op zes.
In de andere wedstrijden vielen er weinig verrassingen te noteren. Zowel Milan, Leverkusen, Zenith als de beide Redbull-ploegen (Salzburg en Leipzig) kwamen als overwinnaar uit de bus. Enkel Bordeaux ging op eigen veld onderuit tegen FC Kopenhagen.
