Bailey en Thelin kropen door het oog van de naald met Leverkusen

Op bezoek bij het Bulgaarse Ludogorets ging het beina mis voor de Duitsers. Via Keseru en Marcelinho kwam de thuisploeg op een 2-0 voorsprong. Havertz kon wel milderen net voor de rust. Het was niemand minder dan Isaac Thelin die Leverkusen op gelijke hoogte bracht. Havertz werd helemaal de held met de winning goal. Leon Bailey viel in de 73e minuut in.

Een andere interessant duel was dat tussen beide Red Bull-teams. Leipzig kwam tegen Salzburg in eigen huis al snel op een 0-2 achterstand, maar kwam nog terug tot 2-2. Gulbrandsen zorgde uiteindelijk voor de zege namens Salzburg. Zo kon niemand het over een salonremise hebben.

Arsenal haalt uit, Milan maar nipt voorbij Luxemburgers

The Gunners deden het dan weer uitstekend tegen Vorskla. Arsenal kwam 4-0 voor via Aubameyang (2x), Welbeck en Özil. Twee tegengoals aan het slot konden de pret niet drukken. Milan won dankzij een doelpunt van Higuaín heel nipt van Dudelange.
