De inbreng van Tielemans en Praet bracht niet veel soelaas voor de bezoekers want op het uur zorgde Jadon Sancho voor de 3-0.

Door de overwinning nadert Manchester United tot op 3 punten van Manchester City. Leider Arsenal staat nog 5 punten boven de Red Devils met één wedstrijd minder gespeeld.
